Ammolite was first discovered by the blackfoot and used to keep evil sprits away, then in
1981 it was picked up and declared a gemstone, since that time it has become very popular. Ammolite has a wide color range,
red been the most common then green, the rarer colors are blue and purple and then the almost imposible to find gold and pink,

Storing your ammolite piece you have finally got your ammolite piece, but be careful how
you store it, ammolite is a soft gem and can scratch easily, do not store with your other pieces of jewerly, and not do a
harsh cleaning chemical on it, warm soapy water is all that is needed
